we’ve just rolled out a big update to ally, and it’s all about helping you in more moments of your day. whether you’re holding a printed menu or wearing your envision glasses, ally is right there with you—ready to read, respond, and make life a little easier.

ally can now read printed text

you can now ask ally to read things like signs, letters, menus, or posters. just say:

- “scan this”

- “scan this document”

- “scan this text”

ally will open your camera, guide you to hold steady, snap a photo, and start reading the text out loud. you don’t have to wait until the end. while ally is reading, you can ask questions like:

- “can you summarize this?”

- “what’s the due date mentioned here?”

- “is there a phone number?”

it’s fast, simple, and focused on the info you need.

use ally with your envision glasses

you can now pair your envision glasses with the ally app, so you can use ally completely hands-free.

to connect:

1. on your glasses, go to ally

2. do a two-finger single tap to open the menu

3. tap on “connect ally”

4. open the ally app on your phone or computer

5. go to settings and scan the qr code with your glasses

once you’re connected, ally works right from your glasses—no phone holding needed.

your custom ally settings move with you. that means:

- the voice you picked stays the same

- the personal info you’ve shared is still there

- you can switch between different allies with a two-finger single tap
